Thorns vs. Sky Blue Win

Earlier this year Emily and saw a Thorns vs. Sky Game and it was one of the first games that the Thorns had lost.  Fortunately, this time the Thorns would come through with the 3-1 win.  Once again we were given great tickets by Emily’s boss right down by the field which gave me a great view of the incredible talented and incredibly beautiful Alex Morgan along with allowing me to get a great shot of Shim’s goal which she was super excited about.  We’ve been to many Thorns games this year but only a couple Timbers and two US Men’s Team games.  The crows was loud and rowdy as usual and Emily and I had a great time.

Jason's Bachelor Party Weekend

This weekend was Jason's Bachelor Party.  His Best Man Jim had done a ton of work in preparation to really show him a good time and everything seemed to go smoothly.  When I say "smoothly" I mean a lot of throwing up on a fishing trip in huge waves,  24 oz Red Bulls at 4:30 in the morning, a pirate kidnapping, and yet another bachelor party injury requiring a sling.  Yep, that sounds pretty normal to me for a bachelor party.  Click the title to read on....

Our Wedding

This past week was one of the most amazing of our lives.  After 7 wonderful years Emily and finally tied the knot in marriage.  We had friends and family from across the country by our sides and it was an amazing day.  The weather was perfect and everyone had a really great time and all came to understand why we call the Northwest our home.   This is probably the longest blog post I've ever written as I tried to capture all the memories I could from the week. US vs. Belize Gold Cup

Tonight Emily I watched the US vs. Belize and Cuba vs. Costa Rica Gold Cup games at Jeld_Wen field after work.  Beer was expensive as usual but the games were great.  Unfortunately, due to cell phone chaos Emily missed the first game but watching the US crush Belize made up for it in the 2nd game.  Click the title to read on....

Necklace Valley - Alpine Lakes Wilderness

Emily, Leo and I spent an amazing weekend in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness of Washington.  It was a very long hike of over 24 miles round trip so we chose to do it over 3 days with a very needed rest day in between.  After a cloudy first night we had amazing views every day after and I was able to capture some of the best time-lapse night photography yet of the Milky Way progressing over Chimney Peak in the distance.  To read more about our last amazing backpacking trip as a "dating" couple click the title to read on and make sure to check out the video at the end....
